Bahujan Samaj Party National President Mayawati, who strongly condemned Armstrong’s murder, is expected to visit Chennai today to personally pay tribute to his body and offer condolences to his family.
Mayawati hails from Uttar Pradesh. He runs the Bahujan Samaj Party. Mayawati is the national leader of the party. It was in this context that Armstrong was the Tamil Nadu state president of the Bahujan Samaj Party. He is 52 years old.
He lived in Perampur, Chennai. Yesterday evening he was talking to his friends near his house as usual. Meanwhile, a mob of Zomoto food delivery workers on bikes slashed him with scythes.
The mob brandished sickles and threatened Armstrong’s friends as they attempted to rescue him. As a result, they could not get close to Armstrong. The gang then brutally cut Armstrong and left on bikes. Armstrong collapsed in a pool of blood and fought for his life. After that, his friends rescued him and sent him to the hospital. He was admitted to Apollo Hospital on Greems Road for treatment.

The investigation revealed that their names were Ponnai Balu (39), Manivannan (25), Thiruvenkadam (33), Thirumalai (45), Arul (33), Ramu (38), Santhosh and Selvaraj (48). Ponnai Balu is the younger brother of rowdy Arkadu Suresh. The murder took place under his leadership
