How many people in Tamil Nadu?
As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned, when the results were released on June 4, it was announced that 1 lakh 58 thousand 449 people from Tamil Nadu applied for the examination, 1 lakh 52 thousand 920 of them wrote the examination and 89 thousand 426 of them qualified.
Accordingly, the examination results of one lakh 52 thousand 920 candidates should have been published in the examination results published through the cities and examination centers. But according to the statistics given, it has been revealed that the marks list of one lakh 53 thousand 664 people is there.
In some cities like Salem, Vellore and Tiruvarur, the candidates scored more than 700 marks. It was seen that the candidates in 31 cities were widely scoring 500 and above 600. More specifically, as there is a negative mark in this exam, some students had also scored “minus” marks. For example, one student had scored -28, it was revealed in the mark sheet released yesterday.
In the announcement of the NEET result on June 4, it was reported that 1 lakh 52 thousand 920 people had written the exam in Tamil Nadu, but the information that 744 more people wrote in the mark list released yesterday by cities and centers has caused confusion.
When asked about the difference, educationist Jayaprakash Gandhi said, ‘Some foreign candidates may have written in examination centers in Tamil Nadu. If it is written like that, the difference will be only in 50 or 100 numbers. But anything above 700 shows a disturbance. Transparency is essential in education. The Supreme Court should give a good solution in this matter,’ he said
