Atletico Madrid Rope In Italy Forward Giacomo Raspadori from Napoli for €20 Million

Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid have officially signed Italy striker Giacomo Raspadori from Serie A champions Napoli on a five-year deal, the club confirmed on Monday.

Raspadori, who lifted the Scudetto with Napoli in 2023, has been signed for €20 million ($23.2 million), according to reports in Spanish media. The 25-year-old netted six goals for Napoli last season, his third year at the club after arriving from Sassuolo in 2022.

Atletico, who finished third in La Liga last term, have been active in the transfer market this summer as they look to mount a serious title challenge. Raspadori, part of Italy’s Euro 2020-winning squad, has scored nine goals in 40 appearances for the Azzurri.

Other notable arrivals at the Metropolitano include winger Alex Baena from Villarreal, defender David Hancko from Feyenoord, and American midfielder Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis.

Jack Grealish Set for Everton Loan Move from Manchester City

Manchester City winger Jack Grealish is set to join Everton on loan for the 2025–26 season, according to reports on Monday.

The 29-year-old fell out of favour with City manager Pep Guardiola last season, starting only seven Premier League matches. He was also omitted from City’s Club World Cup squad in the United States, fuelling speculation over his future.

Everton have reportedly agreed terms with the England international, who is on a weekly wage of £300,000 ($402,000). The Toffees open their Premier League campaign against Leeds on August 18.

Grealish joined City from Aston Villa in 2021 for a then-British record £100 million and went on to win three Premier League titles, the Champions League, and the FA Cup. However, his form dipped after the treble-winning 2022–23 campaign, leading to his exclusion from England’s Euro 2024 squad — a decision he described as “heartbreaking”.

If he clears his medical and completes the switch, Grealish will aim to reignite his career and push for a place in the England squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Everton, now settled into their new Hill Dickenson Stadium, see Grealish as their marquee signing of the summer after a relatively quiet transfer window under manager David Moyes.
