Attack on Savukku Shankar’s Residence – Union Minister L. Murugan Strongly Condemns!
Union Minister L. Murugan has strongly condemned the attack on journalist Savukku Shankar’s residence. In his post on X (formerly Twitter), he stated that the so-called Dravidian Model government of Tamil Nadu is now openly exposing its true face.
DMK’s Suppression of Critics
Murugan accused the DMK government of misleading the people of Tamil Nadu under the guise of the Dravidian Model while unleashing oppression against those who expose its corruption and misdeeds. He alleged that ever since the DMK came to power, opposition voices and whistleblowers have been facing intimidation and violence.
Political Vendetta Against Savukku Shankar?
Savukku Shankar, known for exposing corruption involving DMK ministers and officials through his Savukku Media, had his residence forcefully invaded in his absence. Murugan criticized the police inaction, calling it a blatant act of political revenge by the ruling government.
Will CM Stalin Remain Silent?
Murugan questioned whether Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, who often remains silent on key incidents in the state, would take any action against this attack. “Is this the democracy you claim to uphold?” he asked.
Immediate Action Demanded
The Union Minister insisted that strict legal action must be taken without leniency against those responsible for the violence against Savukku Shankar and his mother.
