‘Attack on the Soul of India’: Rajnath Praises Operation Sindoor, Says It Sends a Message to the World

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded Operation Sindoor, carried out in response to the Pahalgam terror strike. He highlighted India’s firm resolve against terrorism under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.

On Sunday, Rajnath Singh appreciated the efforts of Indian defence forces in Operation Sindoor, which was launched after the Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in 26 casualties on April 22.

Addressing a gathering in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh, the Defence Minister reiterated the Modi government’s strong commitment to combating terrorism and safeguarding national security.

“Terrorists believed that India would remain inactive after the Pahalgam incident. But under PM Modi’s leadership, we resolved to take decisive action,” he stated.

He also condemned the attackers for targeting people based on their religion, expressing shock and anger at such motives. Singh emphasised that India’s retaliation was in response to the acts of the terrorists, not their faith.

“I never thought terrorists would ask about religion before killing. We decided to respond strictly to their actions. Terrorists attacked the very soul of India,” he said.

He added that Operation Sindoor has sent a powerful message to the world — that India does not seek provocation but will firmly respond if its peace is threatened.

“Through Operation Sindoor, we have conveyed to the world that while we do not provoke anyone, if provoked, we do not let it go unanswered,” he concluded.
