Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai has urged that Virudhunagar district should also be declared a holiday on the 4th, the incarnation day of Ayya Vaikundar.
In a post he posted in this regard, he said that the 193rd incarnation day of Ayya Vaikundar, who taught that inequality should be removed in society and that equality and peace should prevail, will be celebrated on March 4.
He has requested the Tamil Nadu government to declare a local holiday on that day in Virudhunagar district, one of the southern districts with a large number of Ayya Vaikundar devotees, along with Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Tenkasi districts, which have already declared holidays for Ayya Vaikundar’s incarnation day.
Furthermore, Annamalai has urged on behalf of Ayya Vaikundar’s devotees that liquor shops should be closed on the incarnation day of Ayya Vaikundar, who emphasized love and spirituality.
