Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati strongly condemned the assassination of Armstrong. Armstrong, a lawyer, is a leader who has been a strong voice for Dalits in Tamil Nadu. He said that the Tamil Nadu government should punish the criminals who killed Armstrong.
Armstrong is the Tamil Nadu state president of the Bahujan Samaj Party. The 52-year-old was talking with friends near his house in Perampur, Chennai, when a mysterious gang of 6 people suddenly hacked Armstrong with a scythe.
The gang that cut Armstrong then fled the scene in the blink of an eye. Neighbors rescued Armstrong, who was seriously injured in the attack, and immediately informed the police. Perambur and Sempiyam police rushed to the spot. Armstrong was rescued and admitted to Apollo Hospital on Grimes Road for treatment.
But the treatment failed and Armstrong died. The incident of brutally hacking to death of the state leader of a popular political party has caused great shocks. The opposition parties are strongly condemning that there is such a thing as law and order in Tamil Nadu. In this situation, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati has strongly condemned the assassination of Armstrong.
Mayawati has said on her X site:- The brutal murder of Bahujan Samaj Party’s Tamil Nadu President Armstrong near his house is highly condemned. Armstrong, a lawyer, is a leader who has been a strong voice for Dalits in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government should punish the criminals who killed Armstrong.”
