Baramulla Resonates With Patriotic Zeal as 12,000 Join Tiranga Yatra, J&K L-G Shares Video
Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a grand display of patriotic fervour ahead of Independence Day, as over 12,000 people came together to participate in the Tiranga Yatra. Carrying a massive 2-km-long Tricolour, participants marched through the town with pride and enthusiasm.
J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, sharing a video of the event on social media, wrote, “May our beloved and victorious Tricolour fly high in the world! More than 12,000 people joined the Tiranga Yatra in Baramulla. Citizens from all walks of life carried a 2-km-long Tricolour, marching with heads held high and hearts filled with pride. #HarGharTiranga.”
The rally, part of the nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign being held from August 11 to 15, was led by Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Minga Sherpa and Senior Superintendent of Police Gurinderpal Singh. Additional Deputy Commissioner Syed Altaf Hussain Mausvi, along with officers from the civil administration, army and police personnel, departmental officials, students, and local residents, also took part, creating an inspiring spectacle of unity.
Starting from Saint Joseph School, the march passed through the town and concluded at Showkat Ali Stadium. Participants waved flags, sang patriotic songs, and chanted slogans that echoed across Baramulla.
Speaking at the event, the DC thanked everyone for their participation and lauded the deep-rooted sense of patriotism and solidarity that the yatra had brought to the forefront.
