Bhavya Gandhi Attends Kesari Veer Screening With Mother; Fans Curious About Tapu Sena
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fame Bhavya Gandhi was recently seen attending the special screening of Kesari Veer, marking his entry into Bollywood with this historical drama.
Bhavya Gandhi, popularly known for playing Tipendra Jethalal Gada aka Tapu in TMKOC, stars in Kesari Veer alongside veteran actors like Suniel Shetty and Vivek Oberoi. The film portrays the courageous tale of Hamirji Gohil, a valiant warrior who resisted the Tughlaq Empire to safeguard the Somnath Temple.
At 27 years of age, Gandhi—who is already a known name in the Gujarati film circuit—has played the role of Lakha, a close companion of Hamirji, in the film.
A video of Gandhi arriving at the special screening with his mother has gone viral on social media. The video, shared by the paparazzi outlet TellyChakkar, received numerous comments from fans expressing joy at seeing him and recalling his beloved character Tapu.
Earlier this year, Bhavya had revealed the teaser of his debut Bollywood film, captioning it, “My next! #KesariVeer – Dharam, Aastha aur Somnath ki Pavitra Bhoomi ki Raksha ka sangram.”
In a past conversation with ETimes, Bhavya shared his excitement about the film’s release, stating he looked forward to showcasing a new dimension of his acting and hoped that audiences would connect with his character.
Along with Bhavya, the film features Sooraj Pancholi, Aruna Irani, Barkha Bisht, and Himanshu Malhotra. Sooraj Pancholi plays the lead role of Hamirji Gohil.
Vivek Oberoi takes on the role of the chief commander of the Tughlaq dynasty who leads an assault on the Somnath temple, aiming to loot it and enforce religious conversion. On the other hand, Suniel Shetty portrays a loyal supporter of Veer Hamirji Gohil who joins him in the battle to defend the sacred shrine.
Initially scheduled to hit theatres on March 14, 2025, the film’s release was postponed to May 16, 2025, and later rescheduled again to May 23, 2025.
Directed by Prince Dhiman and produced by Kanu Chauhan, the film is being distributed by Panorama Studios. The distributors cited that the delay would help the film achieve a more impactful global release.
On the work front, Bhavya Gandhi was last seen in the Gujarati film Ajab Raat Ni Gajab Vaat.
