Bigg Boss 19: Indian Idol Champion Sreerama Chandra Reportedly in Talks to Enter the Show

Earlier, speculation indicated that Bigg Boss 19 and Bigg Boss OTT 4 might be shelved due to reported disagreements between the channel and production team.

However, Salman Khan’s popular and often controversial reality show Bigg Boss is all set to make a comeback with its 19th season, and casting rumors have already started making headlines. According to recent buzz, Indian Idol 5 winner and Bigg Boss Telugu 5 finalist Sreerama Chandra is in advanced discussions with the show’s creators regarding his participation.

As per a report by ETimesTV, citing sources close to the project, Sreerama is one of the names being actively considered for the upcoming season. The makers are aiming to bring on board personalities who combine national recognition with proven entertainment value. His composed demeanor and calculated gameplan during Bigg Boss Telugu 5, where he reached the final stage, made a lasting impression on viewers.

“His stint on the Telugu version won him a dedicated fan base. The Hindi edition now hopes to showcase his layered persona. He is viewed as balanced and sharp—traits that resonate strongly with fans in an intense and competitive setting like Bigg Boss,” the source shared.

There is no official confirmation yet from either the show’s producers or the singer himself.

Besides Sreerama, other celebrities rumored to join Bigg Boss 19 include TV star Dheeraj Dhoopar, Alisha Panwar, Munmun Dutta, Anita Hassanandani, Lataa Saberwal, veteran actor Ashish Vidyarthi, twin sisters Chinki-Minki (Surabhi and Samriddhi Mehra), YouTuber Purav Jha, Gaurav Taneja, Apurva Muhkija, and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s former wife Dhanashree Verma.

The last season concluded in January with Karan Veer Mehra emerging as the winner and Vivian D’Sena as the first runner-up.

Earlier reports had suggested that Bigg Boss 19 and OTT 4 might face cancellation due to conflicts between the channel and production team. However, new developments suggest that Bigg Boss 19 is moving forward, and casting is underway for celebrity participants.

According to SCREEN, the new season is expected to premiere in the final week of August and is set to run for five months—making it the longest edition to date. Salman Khan will return to host the initial phase of the show for three months, after which other Bollywood celebrities like Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor are expected to take over hosting duties.
