BJP state president carries Annamalai Kavadi at Palani Murugan Temple on the occasion of Thaipusam

BJP state president Annamalai carried a Kavadi and offered darshan at the Palani Murugan temple on the occasion of Thaipusam.

The incident of the sexual assault of a student of Anna University caused a great stir. BJP state president Annamalai beat himself with a whip, praying to God that such incidents should not happen again in Tamil Nadu.

Following that, he had announced that he would observe a 48-day fast for Lord Murugan and visit the six temples on the occasion of Thaipusam. In this way, Annamalai carried a Kavadi to offer darshan at one of the six temples, Palani Bala Thandayuthabani Temple. Earlier, he had offered darshan at the Thiru Aavinankudi Murugan temple and worshipped Lord Murugan, who resides on the mountain, carrying a Kavadi through the stairs.

In his post on X-Sala, he said, “I consider it a great blessing to have had the opportunity to visit Lord Muruga on Palani Hill on Thaipusam day, after fasting for a period of one month and 48 days. All the hills belong to Kumaran. May Kandan be healthy.”
