BJP state president Annamalai, after returning from his political studies trip to London, visited Kamalalayam after three months, where he was warmly welcomed by BJP officials with drumbeats. During his address, he announced that a BJP team would be sent to the Delta districts to assess the flood damage. He mentioned that he would be visiting areas like Villupuram, Marakkanam, and Dindigul starting tomorrow.
Annamalai also stated that the BJP’s membership had increased eightfold over the past 10 years. He revealed that the party’s internal elections at the branch level were ongoing and emphasized that the 2026 elections would be a battle of life and death.
Regarding the H. Raja case, Annamalai confirmed that the BJP would file an appeal on his behalf and assured that the party would fully support him. He expressed confidence that justice would be served to H. Raja in the appeal.
