Boat Services to Vivekananda Memorial Halted Due to Sea Receding in Kanyakumari
A large number of tourists visited Kanyakumari to celebrate the weekend and witness the breathtaking sunrise. Kanyakumari, known for its stunning coastal views, is home to the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the Thiruvalluvar Statue, which are located on small islets off the coast. Tourists usually take ferry rides to reach these iconic landmarks.
As usual, visitors eagerly waited in long queues for their turn to board the ferry. However, an unexpected phenomenon occurred when the sea suddenly receded, causing a temporary halt in boat services. Due to the low water levels, ferry operations became impossible, leaving tourists stranded and disappointed. Many waited for nearly an hour, hoping for services to resume.
Eventually, as the sea level stabilized, ferry operations resumed, allowing visitors to continue their journey to the Vivekananda Memorial and Thiruvalluvar Statue.
