The Central Budget for the current financial year (2024-2025) will be presented the day after tomorrow
The Central Budget is usually tabled in the Lok Sabha on 1st February every year. But since the parliamentary elections were to be held this year, only the interim budget was presented on February 1.
It was announced that the new government will present a complete budget after the elections. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance won the 7-phase parliamentary elections and formed the government for the 3rd time.
Following that, the first session of the new Lok Sabha was held last month. New MPs sworn in. President Drabupati Murmu addressed the joint session of Parliament. Prime Minister Modi spoke in response to the discussion on it. The parliamentary session was then adjourned indefinitely.
In this situation, the Central Government officially announced on the 6th that the monsoon session of the Parliament will begin on July 22 and the Central Budget will be presented on July 23. Accordingly, the Monsoon Session of the Parliament will begin tomorrow (Monday).
The Central Budget for the current financial year (2024-2025) will be presented the day after tomorrow (Tuesday). Central Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presents the Budget. This is the first budget of PM Modi’s 3rd tenure.
It was said in the President’s speech that historic measures will be announced in the budget and large-scale social and economic results will be included. Hence, expectations have been raised about new announcements in the budget. There is a lot of expectation especially if the income tax exemption ceiling will be raised.
Meanwhile, the central government plans to table 6 new bills in the monsoon session and make efforts to pass them. At the same time, the opposition parties have decided to put pressure on the central government by raising various issues including NEET question paper leak issue and railway security in this session.
