Central Minister Amit Shah Pays Tribute to Kumari Ananthan’s Portrait

Central Home Minister Amit Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Chennai, paid floral tribute to the portrait of Kumari Ananthan, a senior political leader and father of BJP leader Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan.

During his stay at a star hotel in Guindy, Chennai, Amit Shah visited the residence of Tamilisai Soundararajan in Saligramam, where he honored the memory of Kumari Ananthan by offering flowers to his portrait.

Speaking to reporters, Tamilisai Soundararajan expressed her heartfelt gratitude, stating, “I sincerely thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Central Home Minister Amit Shah for expressing their condolences on my father’s demise. The fact that the Central Home Minister himself came in person to pay tribute would have made my father, who is now watching from above, immensely proud.”

Kumari Ananthan, a respected veteran in Tamil Nadu politics, had a long and influential career. His passing has been mourned by leaders and well-wishers across the political spectrum.

Amit Shah’s visit to Chennai holds political significance as well. During his stay, he is scheduled to hold discussions with senior Tamil Nadu BJP leaders to review party strategies ahead of the upcoming elections.
