Chaos During Pooram Festival in Kerala as Elephant Runs Amok
The Pooram festival has been grandly celebrated for the past two days at the Vishnu temple in Malappuram district, Kerala. As part of the festival’s main event, caparisoned elephants marched in a grand procession accompanied by traditional percussion music.
During the event, an elephant suddenly lost control and ran amok on the road, causing panic among the devotees and onlookers. Fortunately, no injuries or damages were reported. After prolonged efforts, the mahouts managed to calm the elephant and bring the situation under control.
