China, Russia joint naval war drills have raised fears of World War III. What is the reason behind this? Let’s see about it.
China-Russia joint naval exercises are underway at the Zhanjiang Naval Port in South China’s Guangdong Province.
The joint exercise is said to enhance the capabilities of both the navies in countering security threats and maintaining peace and stability.
According to reports, these exercises include anti-missile exercises, naval attacks and air defense operations.
China’s Ministry of Defense said that the two sides’ forces went to the Western and North Pacific Ocean last Sunday as part of the exercise.
The Chinese military, which has stated that the nature of the China-Russia naval exercises is completely different from the US-led joint military exercises, has also made it clear that these joint exercises should not be interpreted as hostile to other countries.
However, China-Russia naval exercises are seen as a warning to the West. The reason is that these joint exercises have taken place in the background of the NATO countries accusing China at the NATO summit last week.
The 32-member NATO summit was held in Washington last week. In this, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand have expressed concern about China’s encroachments in the Indo-Pacific region.
Following this, a resolution was issued at the end of the NATO summit. The NATO report alleged that China has become not only Russia’s active enabler but Russia’s stooge.
Criticizing China with harsh words, the statement said that China’s relationship with Russia is an unlimited alliance, that China is helping Russia in every way in the war against Ukraine, and that China is the instigator of the war in Ukraine.
China immediately denied this statement by NATO. China warned NATO not to bring the war in Europe into Asia and not to create chaos in Asia.
China’s trade with Russia is legitimate and fair and based on WTO rules, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said.
Lin Jian said that the security of NATO countries has always been from threatening the security of other countries, and justified Russia’s argument that the expansion of NATO is a threat to Russia.
Since 2022, when Russia started military operations against Ukraine, China has become a supporter of Russia. China has also broken good relations with the US and European countries.
China has greatly increased trade ties with Russia since the Ukraine war. Because of that, Russia is partially offsetting the impact of Western sanctions on it.
China, which is eager to occupy various parts of the world, has started discussions about World War 3 by engaging in joint naval exercises with Russia.
China, which claims the entire South China Sea, poses threats to the Philippines.
The Chinese government, which considers Taiwan an integral part of China, has recently conducted military exercises in the Taiwan border region to threaten Taiwan.
China’s support for the Russians in Ukraine and its aggressive actions in the South China Sea and Taiwan Strait have fueled geopolitical tensions.
Also, China has been carrying out its aggressive activities in the Indian border areas from time to time.
Looking at China’s activities in the Indo-Pacific region, the ongoing China-Russia joint naval war exercises have created fear in the world.
Meanwhile, the US has announced that it will deploy long-range missiles in Germany for the first time since the Cold War.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has welcomed the US decision to station non-nuclear Tomahawk cruise, SM-6 and hypersonic missiles in Germany from 2026.
At the same time, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, who has issued a stern warning to Germany, has said that Russia will respond militarily to this US decision.
He also said that such a move aimed at destabilizing Russian security cannot go unanswered.
This is said to show that the United States and other European countries are preparing for World War III.
With the Israeli-Gaza war and the Russia-Ukraine war continuing unabated, China and Russia have decided to join forces against the West. World War III is not far off, say geopolitical scholars.
