Civil Judge Aspirant Goes Missing During Train Journey in Madhya Pradesh

A 28-year-old woman preparing for the civil judge examination has mysteriously gone missing while travelling on the Indore–Bilaspur Narmada Express. The missing woman, Archana Tiwari, was last seen on the morning of August 7, but never reached her destination.

Archana, who had been living in Indore to prepare for the judicial services exam, boarded the B-3 coach to travel to her hometown in Katni. Katni Railway Police Sub-Inspector Anil Maravi told India Today that she failed to get off when the train reached Katni station.

Her worried family contacted relatives in Umaria — the next stop — who boarded the train and found her bag in the coach, but Archana herself was missing.

The family last spoke to her at 10:15 am, when she said the train was near Bhopal. Soon after, her phone was switched off. Preliminary investigation revealed she was spotted at Rani Kamlapati station in Bhopal, but co-passengers reported not seeing her after that.

Railway police have lodged a missing complaint and are scanning CCTV footage as well as tracking her mobile location. The unexplained disappearance of a well-educated young woman has left both her family and the police deeply concerned.
