Claims for Unclaimed Shares & Dividends to Become Easier with IEPFA’s New Integrated Portal
The IEPFA is in the final stages of launching its Integrated Portal to simplify the claims process. It has appealed for prompt submission of data and is reviewing document requirements for low-value claims.
The Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) is currently in the concluding phase of testing its Integrated Portal—a unified digital system aimed at simplifying claim procedures and improving access for both investors and companies. The portal will connect key entities—such as depositories and the Public Financial Management System (PFMS)—to offer a smooth and efficient process.
To maintain the accuracy of data provided by companies and to enable hassle-free claim settlements, public notices under Rule 1(A) have been issued on the official IEPFA portal. These notices call upon companies that are yet to upload their IEPF-1/7 SRNs along with the necessary Excel format to complete the process promptly. Timely compliance is essential to avoid delays in claim processing.
At the same time, IEPFA is also undertaking a detailed review of documentation needed for low-value claims, intending to bring in a simpler and faster system for settling such claims. Furthermore, in an effort to improve its grievance redressal mechanism, IEPFA is introducing an Integrated Call Center aimed at offering quicker, more responsive, and stakeholder-friendly assistance.
While these digital and process-oriented improvements are underway, minor disruptions may be experienced. The IEPFA regrets any inconvenience caused and seeks continued support from stakeholders as it strives to create a stronger, more investor-focused environment.
