In Tamil Nadu, 10,448 people have been diagnosed with corona in the last 24 hours.
Following this, the total number of victims in Tamil Nadu has increased to 23,88,746.
The maximum was 1,420 in Coimbatore and 1,123 in Erode.
With Salem confirming 693 cases in Salem and 689 in Chennai, Salem has overtaken Chennai in the one day outbreak.
In the last 24 hours, 270 people have died after being treated for corona. Following this, the total death toll rose to 30,338.
A further 21,058 have recovered and returned home. So far a total of 22,44,073 people have recovered from the infection. Currently, 1,14,335 people are being treated at the hospital.
Today, 1,64,066 people were tested for corona in a single day.
