According to hospital sources, hospital admissions, including oxygen therapy and intensive care units, have declined since the health department was vaccinated against corona.
As the second wave of corona virus became more severe, the number of patients in the hospital increased due to the unavailability of bed facilities.
In this condition the infection is now reduced as the whole of the state is under complete curfew and most are vaccinated. Health workers did not escape this corona.
In this case, the head of the Corona Prevention Task Force, Dr. VK Paul, said that once the corona vaccine is given to health workers, their admission to the hospital is reduced.
As it is, the need for oxygen and admission to the intensive care unit has decreased and beds are empty in most hospitals. 8991 health workers have been vaccinated against corona at the Christian Medical College in Vellore.
These include those who have been given a single dose. Admission to the intensive care unit is reduced. The reason for this is the vaccine. The vaccine prevents 94 percent of patients from being admitted to the intensive care unit. This means that vaccines provide protection against disease.
About 20 percent of health workers are hospitalized with the corona virus after being vaccinated, Dr. Paul said.
