Delhi Metro Site Wall Collapse Triggers Road Cave-In in Vasant Kunj, Traffic Advisory Issued
Commuters coming from the Mehrauli side have been advised to take the Aruna Asaf Ali Marg route to reach Mahipalpur as a precautionary measure.
A section of the Mahipalpur–Mehrauli Road in South Delhi caved in on Saturday after a wall at an under-construction Delhi Metro site collapsed near D-6, Vasant Kunj, under the Masoodpur Flyover. The mishap has caused major traffic disruption in the area.
In an advisory posted on X, the Delhi Traffic Police informed that the affected stretch lies between Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj, and Mahipalpur.
As a precaution, commuters heading from the Mehrauli side towards Mahipalpur have been asked to use the alternate route via Aruna Asaf Ali Marg.
Traffic police personnel have been stationed at the spot to regulate movement and guide commuters.
“Please follow the instructions of traffic police personnel deployed in the area,” the advisory stated.
