Devotees thronged Chaturagiri Sundaramakalingam temple in Virudhunagar on the occasion of the new moon of the month of Ani.
The Sundaramakalingam temple in the Western Ghats is only allowed to devotees on special days. In that way, devotees were allowed to go from the last 4th to the coming 6th in view of Ani month Pradosha and Amavasai.
After this, the devotees gathered in the temple went up the hill and had darshan of Swami. They also gave darpanam to the ancestors.
