Lakhs of devotees thronged the Agni Tirtha beach of the world-famous Rameswaram Ramanathaswamy Temple today to offer didithi tarpanam to the ancestors on the occasion of the new moon of Ani month.
Devotees visiting the Agni Tirtha beach offered didi darpanam to their departed ancestors. Then they worshiped the cow brought for the puja with fruits and vegetables. After this, a large number of policemen were gathered at Rameswaram beach.
