Dipika Kakar Shares Joy Of Cuddling Son Ruhaan After Cancer Surgery
Dipika Kakar became quite emotional while expressing that it was a truly cherished moment, as she was always anxious whether she would be able to perform her motherhood responsibilities after undergoing surgery.
Dipika Kakar is presently recovering after surgery, following her diagnosis of stage 2 liver cancer. Her family had been regularly informing her fans about her condition, and even Dipika herself interacted with them after returning home from the hospital. In her latest update, she shared an emotional message about her recovery and the happiness of reuniting with her son. In her vlog, the actress mentioned that after a long time, she is finally able to have her son Ruhaan on her lap once again.
Dipika Kakar Gets Emotional
In her latest vlog, Dipika Kakar said, “Ruhaan can now sleep on my lap after surgery as the stitches have finally healed. I still can’t lift him, but he can lie on my lap and rest.” The actress became emotional as she called it a treasured moment, saying she was constantly worried about whether she could continue her role as a mother post-surgery. She further said, “But now, when things are slowly becoming normal again, I truly cherish these small moments.”
The vlog also gave a glimpse into her recent outing with husband Shoaib Ibrahim and son Ruhaan, which featured some fun at a mall play zone and a bit of self-care. Dipika is currently on a break from television. Nevertheless, her determination remains strong, and she deeply values every part of her recovery journey and the precious time spent with her child.
Dipika Underwent A 14-Hour Surgery

Dipika Kakar had earlier shared the heartbreaking news of her cancer diagnosis on social media a few months ago. She had to undergo a major 14-hour surgery on June 6.
Dipika Kakar is widely known for her roles in popular TV shows like Sasural Simar Ka and Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum. She also won Bigg Boss 12 and was recently seen on Celebrity MasterChef. However, she had to quit the reality show midway due to health-related concerns, and it was later that her cancer was detected
