Senior BJP leader H.Raja said that we will go from house to house to explain to the people who is responsible for the deaths due to illict liquor.
The BJP tried to hold a demonstration near the Madurai District Collectorate condemning the DMK government over the death of more than 50 people after drinking illict liquor in Kallakurichi.
But as the police refused permission, there was an argument and push between the two parties. Subsequently, the police arrested more than 200 BJP members who were involved in the road blockade by force.
Senior BJP leader H. Raja and District President Maha Suseendran who argued with the police to release them were also arrested.
H. Raja, who met the media earlier, said that DMK won 40 constituencies only to kill people and that the DMK government should be removed from Tamil Nadu.
He said that the BJP is protesting to tell the people who is illict liquor for the death of Kallacharaya. Also, H.Raja criticized Chief Minister M.K.Stalin for running and hiding in the issue of death of liquor.
