DMK’s policy alliance… Criticism on Palaniswami… Chief Minister M. K. Stalin’s response

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, during a wedding event at Anna Arivalayam, spoke about the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and its alliances, addressing recent criticisms and political scenarios. Here are the key points from his speech:

DMK’s Public Service Commitment

Chief Minister Stalin emphasized DMK’s continued dedication to serving the public, stating, “Whether in power or not, DMK remains committed to public welfare. We have implemented not only the promises we made but have also introduced new schemes for the benefit of the people. This commitment is why DMK, now in its sixth term, continues to launch numerous initiatives and deliver on promises.”

Criticism of Palaniswami

Stalin criticized former Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami, accusing him of being envious of DMK’s progress and popularity. “Palaniswami is unable to tolerate the fact that DMK’s governance has deeply resonated with the people. He claims that the DMK alliance is on the verge of breaking, which is nothing but a reflection of his frustration. It appears he has started playing the role of a fortune-teller, predicting the collapse of our alliance,” Stalin said humorously.

DMK’s Policy-Driven Alliance

He stressed that the DMK alliance is based on principles, not mere political convenience. “There may be discussions and debates within our alliance, but that does not mean there are cracks. Our alliance was not formed just for elections or for securing positions; it is a policy-based alliance,” Stalin affirmed.

DMK’s Proactive Approach to People’s Issues

Stalin highlighted DMK’s proactive engagement with public concerns. He pointed out that key leaders, ministers, legislators, and local representatives of DMK have been meeting people directly, listening to their grievances, and resolving issues promptly. “Even during the monsoon, DMK leaders, including myself, ministers, MLAs, and MPs, were on the ground, addressing the needs of the people,” he said.

Criticism of Palaniswami’s Lack of Action

The Chief Minister was critical of Palaniswami’s inaction during critical times, stating, “When the monsoon rains affected people, Palaniswami chose to stay away. He neither acted while in power nor after. It seems like he has been dreaming, and now he has started predicting the future,” Stalin remarked, pointing out the lack of concern from the opposition leader.

Assured Victory in 2026 Elections and Beyond

Stalin confidently expressed his belief in DMK’s future electoral success. “Not just in the 2026 elections but in every election thereafter, DMK will emerge victorious, and there should be no doubt about it,” he declared.

Overall, Chief Minister Stalin reaffirmed DMK’s growth, the strength of its policy-based alliance, and responded to criticisms from the opposition, reiterating his confidence in DMK’s continued success.
