Samjhauta Express
Samjauta Express or Friendship Express runs twice a week, on Thursdays and Mondays, between New Delhi and Adari in India and Lahore in Pakistan. The train started its maiden journey on 22 July 1976. It was a daily train; However, it later became a twice-weekly train in 1994. You can buy tickets for this train only at Adari Junction in Amritsar. Valid Pakistan Visa is the most important document required to purchase Samjhauta Express ticket.
Maitree Express
The Maitree Express runs between Kolkata, India and Dhaka, Bangladesh six days a week in both directions. The train covers about 375 kilometers to reach Dhaka from Kolkata. The rail link was brought in to upgrade the rail link between Kolkata and Dhaka, which had been closed for 43 years. It is considered to be the first and modern international passenger train to run between India and Bangladesh. Kolkata railway station tickets are available offline. Passenger must have a valid and approved Bangladesh visa to check-in on this train.
Tar Link Express
Thar Link Express is a part of the international passenger train operated by the Indian Railways network on a weekly basis. The journey of Thar Link Express starts from Bhagat Ki Kothi railway station in Jodhpur, India and travels westwards from Balotra to Parmar Manabao across the border and arrives in Pakistan. Thar Link Express has no pantry car inside the train. Passengers are allowed to order food from outside and have some snacks with them. The train has several charging points for charging mobile phones and laptops.
Bandhan train
Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in November 2017, the Bandhan Express starts its journey from Kolkata, stops at Dum Dum and Bangan in India and then crosses the border at Petrapol. It is an international passenger train that runs between Kolkata and Khulna every week. It is the second modern express train to run between West Bengal and Bangladesh after the Maitree Express. Passport and Visa holders can book their tickets offline at Kolkata Railway Station and Khulna Railway Station.
Mithali Express
It is an international express train service that connects the two cities of India, Jalpaiguri and Siliguri, with Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, every week. The Prime Ministers of the two neighboring countries officially launched a ten-coach non-stop passenger train on a new route of about 513 km from Dhaka on March 2021, the day when Bangladesh celebrated its independence golden jubilee. It is mandatory to have a valid visa and passport in advance to purchase Mithali Express train tickets.
