Police on Sunday arrested eight people, including two women, for spreading slanderous news about the corona vaccine in public in Vadodara, Gujarat.
Police were informed that a group of eight people had gathered on behalf of the Awake Gujarat Movement with ‘Awake’ banners to spread the word against the corona vaccine. Police on patrol rushed to the spot
As the federal and state government campaigned across the country to pay for the corona vaccine, they spread anti-vaccine messages without wearing a mask and detained those who disobeyed government regulations without complying with social gaps.
They were then arrested on 3 counts including non-compliance with the state order of the Indian Penal Code, acting against life-threatening transmission restrictions and acting against the Disaster Management Act.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his ‘mann ki baat show on the last Sunday of the month, said don’t believe the negative rumors about the vaccine and let’s all get vaccinated. He has been spreading negative slander against the corona vaccine in his home state, insisting that he continue to adhere to corona protocols.
