Elvish Yadav On Dealing With Ongoing Controversies: ‘Is Gaining Fame A Sin?’

Despite the backlash, Elvish Yadav says he draws strength from the constant support of his family.

From making history as the first wildcard to win Bigg Boss to frequently grabbing headlines after the win, Elvish Yadav’s path has been far from easy. Along with widespread recognition, fame also brought unexpected turmoil that he hadn’t anticipated. In a recent interview, the MTV Roadies XX star opened up about the emotional strain caused by the continuous controversies, admitting that they often make him question whether popularity is a burden.

In a chat with Pinkvilla, Elvish said, “Farak padta hai… Roz sochta hu jo cheezein kari nahi, voh karni pad rahi hai” (“It does affect me. Every day I’m dealing with things I haven’t even done”).

He further opened up about the effects of constantly being in the public eye. Elvish remarked, “Kabhi kabhi sochta hu… ‘Itna famous hona gunaah ho gaya kya? Mere se bhi toh famous log hai voh khush hai, mere sath aisa kyu hai?’” (“Sometimes I wonder… Is being this famous a crime? There are others more famous than me who seem happy—so why is this happening to me?”)

Amid all the noise and negativity, Elvish Yadav finds solace in the steady support of his family, stating, “Parivaar mera humesha mere sath khada raha.” He highlighted that his family’s confidence in him comes from their belief that he is doing the right thing. “Vo khush hai joh mai kar rha hu life mai,” he added. Still, he admitted that it hurts them when false accusations are thrown his way. “Bas thode dukhi ho jaate hai jab aise ilzaam lag jaate hai,” he said.

Keeping his focus on the larger picture, Elvish said these experiences have helped shape his personal growth. “Mature ho gaya mai time se pehle” (“I’ve grown up before my time”), he stated.

Even as the controversies continue and public interest remains high, Elvish Yadav stays focused on his craft and progress. He is currently impressing audiences with his appearance on Laughter Chefs 2, airing on Colors TV.
