5 killed in lightning strike in Bihar

People working in the fields were struck by lightning at Patnaga village in Madhubani district of Bihar. In this incident, two persons died on the spot, while another person who was critically injured succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Similarly, in another incident, 2 women were killed by lightning in Tumaria village. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the families of those who died due to lightning will be given a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that 18 students of Government High School in Barga Gone village of Bhojpur district have been seriously injured by lightning. The injured students have been admitted to Sardar Hospital in Ara Nagar for treatment. Doctors have said that their condition is now stable.
