For Parth Samthaan, Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan’s Success Felt ‘More Like a Downfall’
Parth Samthaan and Niti Taylor’s Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan became a sensation, winning hearts across India. The popular Hindi TV show initially aired on television and later made a successful transition to the OTT platform with multiple hit seasons. However, the massive success of the show came with a personal cost for Parth, which, according to him, left his personal life “screwed and messed up” at the time.
Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Parth recalled, “Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan was that one show that gave me my first taste of success, and until then, I had never experienced it. The show brought me fame, but it also took a lot away from my personal life. This was true for other actors too who were part of the show. Our personal lives were affected, dismantled, and messy. It takes a toll because of long, exhaustive 16-hour shoots every day to meet telecast deadlines.”
Parth continued, “Initially, with all that success, it went to my head. I didn’t know how to react. After I left Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan season two, I took a break. That period felt more like a downfall for me, but it was also a learning experience.”
After the show, Parth made a conscious effort to stay grounded, irrespective of how other shows performed. He shared that while portraying Anurag in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, he never let the character take over his personal identity.
Earlier this year, Parth Samthaan grabbed attention with his entry into CID season 2 as ACP Ayushmaan. A month after winning fans with his role, the actor confirmed that he would be exiting the show following Shivaji Satam’s return as the legendary ACP Pradyuman. In a chat with Pinkvilla, Parth revealed that his role was initially a guest appearance, which was later extended for a few months. He explained that he decided to leave the show due to other work commitments lined up in the near future.
