Uttar Pradesh Police have arrested former Samajwadi Party minister Ambika Chaudhary and her son Anand Chaudhary on a complaint lodged by Uttar Pradesh Sports Minister Upendra Tiwari.
A video of Samajwadi Party members slandering Upendra Tiwari has gone viral on the internet. In it, it was emphasized that both should be prosecuted under the Posco Act for slandering Upendra Tiwari’s daughter and their mother.
Police said the two were arrested and charged under the Posco Act following a complaint lodged by the minister for making death threats against Anand Chaudhry and that some more would be arrested in the case.
