“BJP will file a complaint across Tamil Nadu against Ghanaian singer Isaivani, who released a disparaging song about Swami Ayyappan, said Vanangamudi, State President of the Advocates’ Division. He has also announced that if no action is taken in the Isaivani issue, he will approach the court.
A band called “Castless Collective” is part of director Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Cultural Centre. The band features popular Ghanaian singer and Bigg Boss contestant Isivani. The Ayyappan song he had sung last year has now become a controversy.
Protest: “I Am Sari Ayyappa. What if I come in? It’s not the old days to suppress fear. I am the granddaughter of a bearded man. Now times have changed,” Ayyappa’s devotees are strongly protesting. Also, complaints are being filed against Pa Ranjith and Isaivani in various police stations in Tamil Nadu.
Yesterday, reporters questioned Minister Shekharbabu about the controversy over Isaivani’s song and complaints against him.
Shekhar Babu: The minister said, “The chief minister will not allow people of one religion to insult another religion. Therefore, a complaint has been filed in this matter. Surely legal counsel will be consulted and action will be taken if there is a mistake. The chief minister is sure that forces that divide people on the basis of religion and caste will not rise in this government.” He said.
However, the BJP is agitating against Ishaivani. Especially the BJP lawyer team has gathered. Led by District President of BJP Environmental Protection Wing Vakkil Muthukumar, the party’s state executives and executives from Hindu organizations have lodged a complaint with Madurai Annanagar Police against Isaivani.
Threat: In it, “Isaivani has released a video song defaming Sabarimala Ayyappan. In the song that starts with ‘Aim Sari Ayyappa’, Swami Ayyappan has created a fictional story and composed lyrics as if he is threatening the devotees. Isaivani has acted with malicious intent to harm the religious sentiments of the devotees. He Action should be taken on”.
Similarly, the Bharatiya Forward Block party, led by lawyer Tamilchelvan, has filed a complaint with Usilambatti DSP Senthilkumar to take action against Ranjith, Neelam cultural center’s Kanapadagi Isaivani, who sang insults to Sabarimalai Ayyappan.
Complaints: In the complaint, “Atheist forces and separatists are working against the unity of India to create conflict between two religions. Father Ranjith of Neelam Cultural Center and Ghanaian singer Isaivani have released songs defaming Ayyappa Swamy.”
In the month of Karthikai, when Ayyappa Swami fasts by wearing garlands, they have caused heartache to Ayyappa devotees by releasing such a song. If we fail to take action against these separatists, we will protest across Tamil Nadu through our party,” they said.
Vanangamudi: Meanwhile, National Constitution Day was celebrated on behalf of the BJP advocate wing at the Madurai district court complex. In this, State President of BJP Advocates Wing Vanangamudi participated as special guest.
Then speaking to the media, Vanangamudi said, “A complaint is being filed across the state on behalf of the BJP, demanding action against Isaivani, who sang defamatory songs about Sabarimala Ayyappan. If the police do not take appropriate action on this complaint, we will approach the court.
Planned Conspiracy: Isaivani song is a planned conspiracy, they are doing this thinking to continue to malign Hinduism. This is related to the ruling DMK government in Tamil. The Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu are working to malign Hinduism with various movements and certain individuals.
Hindu Gods are being systematically maligned. We see this as a conspiracy. “BJP’s lawyer wing will not let it be idle to denigrate Hinduism with Ayyappan’s song,” said Vanangamudi furiously.
Last Friday, Isaivani filed a petition seeking protection at the Chennai Police Commissioner’s office and also complained that action should be taken against those who sent her obscene messages. Neelam Cultural Center had also issued a statement saying that a group has been spreading defamation on social media for the last one week by taking only the first line of the song which was composed 6 years ago and sung by Isijavani on various platforms.
