While the Tamil Nadu government has said that the government is ready to allocate 200 square feet of land for the burial of Armstrong’s body, one and a half kilometers away from the Bahujan Samaj Party, the petitioner has requested for 7500 square feet of land.

Bahujan Samad Party state president Armstrong was with his supporters near his house in Chennai’s Perambur area when a mob surrounded him on a two-wheeler and hacked him to death with a scythe. In this situation, Armstrong fell down.

The gang then fled. Armstrong was rushed to Apollo Hospital. The doctors said that he had already died there. His body was sent for post-mortem at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital.

After that, the family asked to take his body in a procession, but the police did not agree. As a result, the family refused to buy the body and staged a protest at the Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital. Armstrong’s body was then allowed to be carried in a night procession.

His body was then taken in a procession from Central to Perambur. His body has since been kept at Perambur Corporation School for public tribute. In this situation, Armstrong’s wife has filed a petition in the Borkodi High Court to bury the body at the Bahujan Samaj Party office.

The hearing on this petition was presided over by Justice Bhavani Subpurayan. At that time, the lawyer for the Tamil Nadu government said that the place where the Bahujan Samaj Party office is located is a narrow area, full of residential areas. Armstrong’s body should not be allowed to be buried in this area.

No one can control the law and order problem. I am willing to give land, but I have to follow the rules. A bell tower will be built at Armstrong’s burial site. They said that if his supporters leave to pay obeisance at the place, there will be congestion in the narrow place.

The case was adjourned at 12 noon and came back for hearing. At that time, the lawyer who argued on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government said that they are ready to give 200 square feet of space to bury Armstrong’s body. But since the petitioner has to build a bell hall for Armstrong, he has asked for a space of 7500 square feet in Perampur itself.
