Grand Welcome for Central Home Minister Amit Shah in Coimbatore

Central Home Minister Amit Shah received a grand welcome upon his arrival in Coimbatore today. Senior BJP leaders, including Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai, Central Minister L. Murugan, former Tamil Nadu Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, and BJP Mahila Morcha National President Vanathi Srinivasan, were present to greet him.

Amit Shah’s visit coincides with the grand Mahashivratri celebrations at the Isha Yoga Center, where he is scheduled to participate in the spiritual event. Additionally, he is set to inaugurate a new BJP office in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. He arrived in the city via a special flight from Delhi.

Enthusiastic Reception at the Airport

As soon as Amit Shah landed at the Coimbatore airport, BJP supporters cheered loudly, chanting slogans such as “Vande Mataram,” “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” and “Tamil Nadu Vazhga” (Long Live Tamil Nadu). Tamil Nadu BJP President Annamalai welcomed him by garlanding him with a specially designed floral wreath inscribed with the words “Tamil Vazhga” (Long Live Tamil).

Central Minister L. Murugan, Tamilisai Soundararajan, Vanathi Srinivasan, and senior BJP leader Nainar Nagendran also extended their greetings. As a token of appreciation, a commemorative gift featuring paintings of Thiruppudaimaruthur, representing Tamil heritage and culture, was presented to Amit Shah.

BJP Office Inauguration in Coimbatore

Following his arrival, Amit Shah inaugurated a newly established BJP office in Peelamedu, Coimbatore. The office is expected to serve as a key center for the party’s expansion efforts in Tamil Nadu. During the inauguration, Amit Shah addressed party members, stating, “BJP’s influence in Tamil Nadu is growing steadily. The support from the people is increasing day by day, and we are committed to the state’s development.”

After the office inauguration, the Home Minister participated in an interactive session with local BJP leaders and the public, discussing topics such as Coimbatore’s development, trade, and industrial growth, as well as the central government’s support for Tamil Nadu.

Travel to Isha Yoga Center

At around 4 PM, Amit Shah boarded a helicopter to travel to the Isha Yoga Center, where he is set to receive a grand reception from the center’s founder, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. The Central Minister will take part in the Mahashivratri celebrations, a significant spiritual event attended by thousands of devotees from across the country.

Tight Security Arrangements

Given the high-profile nature of Amit Shah’s visit, security measures have been intensified throughout Coimbatore. A total of 7,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure smooth proceedings. Security arrangements have been strengthened at key locations, including the airport, BJP office, and the Isha Yoga Center.
