Gurugram Man Leaves Home With ₹7 Lakh, Stabbed to Death by Live-In Partner Over Visits to Wife and Children
A woman from Gurugram, Yashmeet Kaur, allegedly stabbed her live-in partner, Harish, following a dispute over his visits to his wife and children. Harish later succumbed to his injuries during medical treatment.
The deceased has been identified as 42-year-old Harish, a resident of Gurugram’s Baliyavas. He was in a relationship with 27-year-old Yashmeet Kaur, who hails from Delhi’s Ashok Vihar. The couple had been cohabiting in DLF Phase-3 for over a year.
According to police, frequent arguments occurred between Kaur and Harish whenever he went to meet his wife and kids. The argument on Saturday — reportedly similar to earlier altercations — escalated into a violent clash during which Harish was fatally stabbed.
Earlier that day, Harish’s nephew, Bharat, told police that his uncle had returned home from work in Faridabad, collected ₹7 lakh from him, and then left in a car driven by another individual, Vijay — who is now also under investigation. Harish had also called Bharat around 10 pm, asking him to receive a food delivery and make the payment.
The next morning, around 7 am, Bharat received a call from Yashmeet Kaur informing him that Harish had died. Bharat was shocked to find that his uncle had suffered a stab injury to the chest.
Kaur has been taken into custody, and the weapon used in the stabbing has been recovered. Authorities are currently interrogating Vijay and looking into the circumstances surrounding the case, including why Harish was carrying ₹7 lakh the night of the incident.
