Huma Qureshi’s Cousin Asif Qureshi Fatally Stabbed in Delhi Parking Dispute; CCTV Footage Surfaces
In a shocking incident late Thursday night, actor Huma Qureshi’s cousin, Asif Qureshi, was stabbed to death during a heated altercation over a parking dispute in the Bhogal area of southeast Delhi. The violent attack was captured on CCTV, adding a chilling visual to an already tragic incident.
According to police reports, the incident occurred around 11 pm when an argument broke out between Asif and two local residents over parking space in the narrow residential lane. The CCTV footage reveals a confrontation between a group of individuals, escalating quickly into a physical attack. Asif was stabbed in the chest with what authorities described as a “poker-type” weapon.
He collapsed on the spot due to a deep wound and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Police have arrested the two accused individuals — Ujjwal (19) and Gautam (18) — both of whom reside in the same lane. The duo was taken into custody shortly after the incident.
Asif’s grieving family has alleged that the accused had previously clashed with him over the same issue and claimed that Thursday’s attack was “deliberate and conspiratorial.” Huma Qureshi’s father stated that the fight erupted after the two men parked their scooter right in front of Asif’s house, reigniting tensions.
The Hazrat Nizamuddin police station has registered a case under Sections 103(1) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The authorities have sent Asif’s body for post-mortem examination as investigations continue.
This tragic incident has raised serious concerns about growing neighborhood violence and the lack of effective conflict resolution mechanisms in urban residential areas.
