Dindigul North Madurai area BJP social media secretary Saravanakumar is said to have posted on Facebook criticizing the DMK government. Following this, the police arrested Saravanakumar for spreading slander on Facebook. The BJP-winners continued to protest in Dindigul. Saravanakumar has now been released after several struggles. Following this, BJP spokesperson Narayanan Tirupati has harshly criticized the DMK government.
In a Twitter post, he said, “This morning, the police arrested Saravanakumar, the secretary of the Dindigul North Madurai area social media unit, for spreading slander on Facebook. He pointed out the pornographic and anarchic recordings of The Mukherjee on the Prime Minister and BJP executives and argued with top officials as to why The Mukherjee was not arrested.
He was also arrested for fighting with party volunteers at the front. I also contacted the Amma District Superintendent of Police. Without taking action against the DMK-winner, I argued that the arrest action against the BJP was not justified. In this situation I came to know that a case was registered against Mr. Saravanakumar and he was released on bail. We need not fear seeing cases. We will meet legally. But in cases like this, the courts have repeatedly advised that arrests should be avoided during the corona epidemic, and the DMK-winner’s anarchy and pressure remand measures are misguided.
Moreover, the slanders made and being made by DMK-winners about the Prime Minister are innumerable. It is a crime for anyone to make substandard criticisms in private. However, such incidents continue to be a reaction to a reaction to which restraint is more important than legal action. It is good for society that all political parties make constructive criticisms and avoid low quality personal records.
The complainant had posted on May 25 that the BJP from North Madurai would be arrested. If the DMK thinks it can intimidate the BJP, it will not happen. If the DMK thinks that the DMK can intimidate the BJP, it will not happen. Those who want to understand must understand. Congratulations to Amma District Chairman Kanagaraj and all Amma District Administrators who acted swiftly in releasing Saravanakumar. Congratulations to CTR Nirmalkumar, Head of Social Media, who co-sponsored the event.
