Lawyer Malarkodi, who was an AIADMK executive, was among those arrested in the assassination of Tamil Nadu president Armstrong. Malarkodi, who was the joint secretary of AIADMK’s Tiruvallikeni West region, has now been removed from the party. According to police sources, Malarkodi is the one who avenged the murder of her husband Thotam Shekhar in 2001 through her sons.

Thotham Shekhar: Thotham Shekhar emerged as the face of AIADMK in Tiruvallikeni Jambazar area of Chennai 25 years ago. Thottam Shekhar, who was a rowdy in the area, was also a stage speaker of the AIADMK. Malarkodi is the 3rd wife of Thodam Segar. His sons are Akkurraj and Balaji.
Thottam Shekhar Assassination: In 2001, Thotom Shekhar was hacked to death by a thug named Sivakumar from Mylapore, Chennai. At that time, Malarkodi’s sons, Agooraj and Balaji, were 2-year-old children. But Malarkodio has been driving her sons crazy by saying that she should avenge the murder of her husband, Thotam Shekhar. Malarkodi also studied law and became a lawyer.
First Massacre in 2018: Soon after Malarkodi’s sons Aghuraraj and Balaji grew up and became teenagers, the ‘weeding out’ for the Thottam Shekhar massacre began. In 2018, Abbas, a Congress figure suspected of involvement in the Thottam Shekhar murder, was hacked to death in Tiruvallikeni.
Attempted assassination in 2019: In 2019, as revenge for the killing of Abbas, the incident caused a stir when Abbas’s supporters, including Sheikh, tried to kill them by throwing homemade bombs on them while they were going to Malarkodi and Akkurraj from the Egmore court in Chennai via Annasalai.
2021 Mailai Siva Massacre: In this situation in 2021 Chennai Mylapur rowdy Sivakumar was hacked to death. Some surrendered in the Kallakurichi court in connection with the massacre. Among them, the sons of Thotam Shekhar, Akuraj and Balaji, also surrendered. In the confession given by Akkurraj, when he was a 5-year-old child, his father Thottam Shekhar was hacked to death. He had given the shocking information that Sivakumar was killed because he was responsible for the massacre. That is, Malarkodi is the one who waited 20 years for her husband’s assassination and took revenge through her sons.
