It has been said that a fine of 8 thousand to 65 thousand somoni will be imposed. It is worth noting that in Indian value it is Rs.60,560 to 5 lakhs. At the same time, government officials and religious officials who violate this new law have been warned that excessive fines will be imposed.
Not only this, the president of Tajikistan has also signed a law banning the practice of Edi, a religious ritual in which children receive money from adults during the Bakrit festival. There has been strong opposition to these new laws in Tajikistan. There have been criticisms that Tajikistan is dominated by foreign countries and that cultural heritage is under threat.
