Indian Idol 12 Winner Pawandeep Rajan Receives Heartwarming Surprise During Hospital Recovery
Indian Idol 12 champion Pawandeep Rajan recently shared touching photos of a surprise he received while recovering from surgery.
On May 5, Pawandeep was traveling to Delhi to catch a flight to Ahmedabad for an event when he met with a car accident near Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. He was immediately taken to the hospital. While he continues to recover from multiple surgeries, a young fan visited him and presented a heartfelt gift. A photo shared on Instagram shows the child handing Pawandeep a ‘Get well soon’ card, leaving fans emotional.
In an Instagram story, the singer can be seen resting in a hospital bed, smiling as the child offers the greeting card. The child also expressed a desire to learn guitar from Pawandeep once he recovers.
In another touching moment, Pawandeep was filmed singing the emotional song Duaa from the movie Shanghai. Despite wearing a hospital gown and having medical equipment attached, his soulful voice captivated everyone. The video was shared by his Indian Idol co-contestant Sayli Kamble. Pawandeep captioned the post: “Get well soon, Bhai humara strong hai bahut.”
The accident occurred near the Chopla Chauraha overbridge while Pawandeep was riding in an MG Hector that collided with a parked truck. His friend Ajay Mehra and driver Rahul Singh were also in the vehicle. All three were initially treated at a local hospital before being shifted to a more advanced medical facility.
According to police, Rahul Singh, the driver, allegedly fell asleep at the wheel, causing the crash.
Pawandeep’s team later issued official updates on his condition. The singer underwent a six-hour surgery to treat severe fractures and minor injuries. Subsequent updates revealed that he was under observation in the ICU following three eight-hour surgeries.
