Is TV Show Jhanak Ending? Arjit Taneja Clears the Air
Rumours have been swirling about Star Plus’ drama Jhanak going off air, especially after the show underwent a major 20-year leap and introduced a new cast featuring Arjit Taneja, Riya Sharma, and Twinkle Arora. However, lead actor Arjit Taneja has now directly addressed the speculation — and set the record straight.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Arjit expressed his disappointment over people celebrating the idea of the show ending.
“Seeing people celebrate #Jhanak going off air is sad. A show supports 150+ jobs. I know as fans there could be a lot of things one isn’t satisfied with, but actors do their best with the given content, but we don’t control it,” he wrote.
He clarified that Jhanak is not ending, but rather shifting its time slot, which has been misunderstood as a sign of cancellation. “Lift each other up, don’t cheer lows. Also, show’s NOT ending, just shifting time slots. No show deserves negativity,” he added, urging viewers to be more supportive of the people involved in production.
While Star Plus has yet to issue an official announcement regarding the new airing time, insiders suggest the channel is rearranging its prime-time programming. The confusion intensified after reports emerged that the upcoming reboot of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi would be taking over the 10:30 PM slot, which Jhanak currently occupies.
What’s Happening in Jhanak Now?
In the ongoing storyline, the dynamics between Jhanak, Aditi, and Rishi are becoming increasingly complex. As Jhanak and Aditi grow closer, Rishi is visibly disturbed and tries to distance the two. However, Aditi becomes even more committed to standing by Jhanak. Things are headed for a dramatic turn as Jhanak is on the verge of revealing a shocking truth about Rishi — a revelation that could reshape the entire relationship triangle.
Despite the swirling rumours, fans can rest assured: Jhanak is not going off air — it’s just moving to a new time slot.
