Israel’s attack on Palestine escalates… Gazans are worried that there is nowhere to go

As Israel’s attack on Palestine escalates, we have nowhere to go after this, the people of Gaza are worried.

The Gaza Strip of Palestine has been under the control of the Israeli army since 2007. Against these restrictions, the Palestinian Liberation Organization, Hamas, launched a missile attack on Israel on October 7 last year. 1500 Israelis were killed. This is the starting point for the current war Israel is waging. Israel began the war with the slogan that its primary objective was to destroy Hamas.

More than 37,000 Gazans have been killed in the war so far. This is 1.7 percent of the total population of Gazans. Similarly 3.7% of the population i.e. 86,000 people were seriously injured in the war. 23 lakh people have been displaced due to war. Hunger, starvation and infectious diseases continue to haunt them. The Gaza Strip has been almost leveled.

269 days after the start of the war, has Israel fulfilled the purpose of this war? The question has arisen. Israel’s spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari has given the answer to this. “Hamas is an ideology, Hamas is a party, it is rooted in people’s hearts. It is wrong to think that Hamas can be eradicated,” he said.

Israel has admitted this 8 months after the start of the war. Israel had planned to destroy Hamas’ tunnels, its top fighters and leader and free the more than 240 hostages they were holding. But even after 8 months, Israel is struggling to achieve this goal.

As the situation is like this, about 80% of the Palestinian population has been displaced due to the war, according to the UN Human Rights Commission. UN for Gaza Humanitarian coordinator Sigrid Kok has informed this.

“More than 10 lakh people have been displaced. They are in desperate need of shelter and security. The war-torn region has not received enough aid. Hence, a ceasefire is necessary,” Kak said.

Similarly, the Israeli army has attacked the school which was run by the UN. As many as 12 people have died in this. The UN Relief and Works Agency runs the school in Nusirat. Israel attacked this school. It is an international law of war not to attack hospitals and schools. However, there are reports that Israel has violated the rule through this attack.

In this case, the people of Gaza are worried that “we have nowhere to go after this”. A large number of civilians have been killed in the fighting in Taraj and Tufa in the east and Tell al-Hawa, Sabra and Rimal in the west. However, rescuers said that they could not identify the deceased.
