BJP state president Annamalai has alleged that Tamil Nadu has become a safe haven for fundamentalists.
In a post he posted in this regard, he said that Ramalingam was murdered in 2019 by fundamentalists from the banned PFI movement for preventing the forcible conversion of innocent villagers in Thanjavur district.
He also said that the National Investigation Agency has arrested two people, Abdul Majeed and Shakul Hameed, who were absconding in Dindigul city, while the chargesheet has been filed in this case.
Tamil Nadu, once known as a peace-loving state, has today become a safe haven for fundamentalists. Annamalai also said that the recent funeral of a terrorist with police protection is an example of the deep-rooted vote bank politics prevailing in the state, carried out by the DMK and its allies.
