The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which manages the Ayodhya Ram Temple, has reportedly paid a total of ₹400 crore in taxes to the government over the past five years.

According to the trust’s secretary, Champat Rai, out of this amount, ₹270 crore was paid specifically as Goods and Services Tax (GST). Since the commencement of the temple construction, significant financial transactions have taken place through the temple administration. Additionally, with Ayodhya becoming a major pilgrimage and tourist destination, the city’s revenue has seen substantial growth.

Due to the ongoing development projects and the surge in the number of devotees visiting the temple, local employment opportunities have increased significantly. The operations of the Ram Temple Trust and the growth of the tourism sector have contributed to the economic progress of Ayodhya.

Through its financial management and tax contributions, the temple administration has played a role in supporting the government’s economic growth. Furthermore, the continued expansion of Ayodhya’s tourism sector is expected to create more job opportunities and drive further economic development in the coming years.
