Jubilant Bhartia Group Picks Up 40% Stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings

The Jubilant Bhartia Group has finalized the purchase of a 40 per cent equity stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings Private Limited (HCCH), signaling a major shift in the Indian beverages and FMCG sector.

As per a disclosure filed with the stock exchanges in accordance with Regulation 51 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the company confirmed the completion of the transaction, valued at Rs 1,17,04,40,00,000, on Tuesday.

This strategic investment makes Jubilant Bhartia Group a significant shareholder in HCCH — the holding entity of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd (HCCB), which is Coca-Cola’s bottling and distribution subsidiary in India. The acquisition is poised to strengthen Jubilant’s footprint in the non-alcoholic beverage market and create new opportunities for expansion and collaboration within the fast-growing beverage industry.

Jubilant Bhartia x Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages

The Jubilant Bhartia Group had first announced in December its decision to acquire a 40% ownership stake in HCCH via its unit, Jubilant Beverages. The deal secured clearance from the Competition Commission of India on May 1, 2025.

In India, The Coca-Cola Company manufactures beverages such as Thums-Up, Sprite, Fanta, Limca, and its flagship Coca-Cola brand via HCCB, along with several other independent bottlers. With this acquisition, Jubilant Bhartia Group has taken a 40% shareholding in HCCH, the parent company of HCCB, through its arm Jubilant Beverages Ltd.

HCCB runs 13 bottling plants and caters to 236 districts across 12 southern and western Indian states.
