AIADMK general secretary Edappadi Palaniswami has blamed the DMK government’s incompetence as the reason for the deaths in Kallakurichi.
The Speaker ordered that the AIADMK, which sought permission to discuss the Kallakurichi Kallacharaya issue in the Legislative Assembly, was barred from participating in the Legislative Assembly events throughout the current session.
In protest against this, a hunger strike was held at Rajaratnam Maidan, Egmore, Chennai under the leadership of AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami.
Speaking then, Edappadi Palaniswami blamed the incompetence of the DMK government as the cause of the Kallakurichi Kallacharaya deaths. He said that DMK government’s dictatorial attitude of refusing to allow the opposition parties to speak in the Legislative Assembly is highly condemnable and accused that the sale of ganja and illicit liquor has increased all over Tamil Nadu due to the negligence of the government.
