Karate & Archery Trainer Shihan Hussaini’s Demise – Pawan Kalyan’s Emotional Tribute

Renowned Karate and Archery trainer, Shihan (Sikkan) Hussaini, who had been battling leukemia (blood cancer) for a long time, has passed away. His demise is considered a great loss to the martial arts and sports community in India.

Hussaini was not just a trainer but a multi-talented personality who played a key role in promoting archery in Tamil Nadu and trained thousands of students in Karate.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences, Andhra Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan shared an emotional note remembering his guru.

Pawan Kalyan’s Tribute to Shihan Hussaini:

“The passing of my mentor and trainer is a deep personal loss for me. I am extremely saddened to hear about the demise of Hussaini, a legendary martial arts and archery instructor.

I personally trained under him. Only four days ago, I learned about his critical health condition. I immediately contacted friends in Chennai to assess the situation and even expressed my willingness to arrange for his treatment abroad if necessary.

I had planned to visit Chennai on the 29th of this month to meet him. However, hearing about his passing before that has left me deeply heartbroken. I pray for his soul to rest in peace.

A Strict and Dedicated Mentor

Hussaini was extremely strict in his training methods. Initially, he refused to train me.
He told me, “I am not training anyone at the moment. Please don’t misunderstand, but I cannot teach you.”

However, after persistent efforts, he finally agreed to train me.
I would start my training early in the morning and continue till the evening. Under his guidance, I earned my Black Belt in Karate, and the rigorous training he provided was instrumental in preparing me for my role as a kickboxer in my film ‘Thammudu’.

Today, under his guidance, over 3,000 students have earned their Black Belts.
He also worked hard to popularize archery in Tamil Nadu, a sport that was relatively lesser known in the region.

A Multi-Talented Personality

An expert in music & sculpture
A gifted artist & painter
Appeared in multiple films
A motivational speaker

During various conferences at the Chennai Rotary Club and other events, he used to take me along for inspirational talks.

He always envisioned making martial arts more accessible to the younger generation and was passionate about empowering them through self-defense skills.

His Selfless Act – Donating His Body for Medical Research

Even after his passing, his noble heart continues to serve society. His family has announced that his body will be donated to a medical college for research, a true reflection of his generosity and humanitarian spirit.

I extend my deepest condolences to his family, and I pray for his soul to find peace.

– Pawan Kalyan

The passing of Shihan Hussaini is a huge loss to the fields of martial arts, sports, and social service.
Though his training was rigorous, his students have achieved great success in various fields.
His contribution to Karate and Archery in Tamil Nadu will always be remembered, and his legacy will live on through his students.

May his soul rest in peace.
