The terrorist attack on innocent people was strongly condemned by the leaders of various world countries including the United Nations, the United States, Britain, the European Union, Russia, Israel, Australia, Italy, and the United Arab Emirates.

Prime Minister Modi had assured that the terrorists would be identified, hunted down, and given appropriate punishment.

In this context, the 15-member UN Security Council has strongly condemned the Kashmir attack. Furthermore, the UN Security Council has issued a lengthy statement stating that all forms of terrorism are the greatest threat to global peace and security.

In the statement, it has been urged that all those responsible for the Bagalkot terrorist attack, those who carried out the attack, those who directed it from behind, those who financed it and those who assisted it should be brought to justice and severely punished.

Stating that terrorist acts are crimes that cannot be justified, wherever and by whomever they are committed, the members of the UN Security Council have also highlighted the need to combat terrorism by all means. It is noteworthy that Pakistan is a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
